Not sure what to ask for but this is what I am wanting to do.

I am wanting to install two HD into my computer and anytime I save something to one of the drives,,it automatically saves it to the other drive,,hence mirrored HD>

Do I need a program to do this?If so link please?

What you need is RAID 1. You should not need a separate program as long as your motherboard and bios are able to be set up.

Cool,,how do I set this up?

I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3L
1.main drive 250 GB SATA Samsung Spinpoint
2.Drive 750 GB SATA Samsung Spinpoint.
Running xp SP3

Is that enough information to go by?

you need two identical drives to use RAID1
As said here, you should have two identical HDDs. Some RAID controllers allow yout to use different HDDs, but this is not recommended, especially in your case because the smaller hard drive limits the capacity of bigger drives in a RAID setup i.e. both of those drives would effectively operate as 250GB drives, which would mean that you lose 500GB. For an average Joe, RAID ain't worth it so you may want to reconsider your decision.

go into BIOS, turn on RAID. press whatever it says to press during POST to get into the RAID utility. turn on RAID1 (Mirroring), select which drives, make sure the boot flag is on. let the utility create the RAID. reboot the computer and go into windows setup. if XP, press F6 to install third party driver, if Vista, click the load driver button. load the proper RAID drivers for your mobo/os, then install os normally.

RAID is not an easy thing to deal with. i suggest you take it to a computer shop, or read up on it a lot more

Your motherboard manual should provide you with enough information to set up raid 1. You will either need a floppy(providing you have a floppy drive) with the raid drivers on it or a slipstreamed XP install disk with the driver included in it, using a program called Nlite.
