Dual monitor problem

Ok so I have a Dell dimension 3000 Desktop and I am trying to set up dual monitors...I have one attached to the onboard chip and then I have another PCI card in place and it is recognized by the OS and all that...what do I need to do in order for them to work

Depends on the machine. Not every machine can use onboard AND expansion card.

Most likely you'll need a card with two video outputs.

Dell Dim 3000 does is not able to have video on both onboard and PCI at the same time. The BIOS will not allow it. You must put a Video card in that has dual link for two monitors

Thanks. Wasn't positive, but I thought so.

So yeah, you'll need a dual port video card.

I thought the same as you guys did but I actually ended up getting it to work. I was amazed. you need to disable the onboard video card then put in a PCI video card, and then re enable the onboard. by doing this you will put the PCI video card as the primary and the onboard on the secondary.
