Dual monitor question

So I am currently running a ATI 2600xt
I have my normal LCD monitor (it is a Compaq WF 1907)
My secondary display is a Sharp Aquos 32" LCD TV.

I am trying to make it so that when I play a game like say Warcraft I can view video on the secondary monitor
Currently if I run video and start WC it blacks out the video. The video gets pushed over as if the resolution changes.
I have tried playing with a bunch of things but can't seem to get it to work.

Thanks for the help

Okay when you have dual monitors they don't exactly work like two independent monitors, nor do they act like a single monitor. First load up the movie, reduce it and drag it over to the secondary screen. Then you should be able to maximize it and it should stay on that monitor. Then load Warcraft on your primary and see what happens. I don't know if you already tried this so let me know.

i am using dual monitors with "19 widescreens and when i start game my secondary shrinks and wont perform on full display-i guess because the game requires more of the cards resources!

i have just bought a new ati hd4850 so i dont think its due to the cards spec it does this but due to the fact that when you game you shouldnt need other monitor unless you are splitting your game across the 2

Dual monitor setups only work in a couple of games and are pretty useful when playing large map MMO's or something. You could have the game running in one window and a map running in the other.

Unless you have it set up to act as one monitor, then most games will black out the other screen, unless the game itself uses it.

I have tried that before. No luck.

I have had it work before but for some reason the settings get changed or something happens and I loose the proper settings.

I always assumed I had to match the resolutions but that doesn't seem to be working either.

As far as I know, there are two solutions:

1. Use a program like UltraMON to span the game across both monitors.

2. Get something like a Dualhead2Go or Triplehead2Go. It's expensive, but you may be able to get a good deal somewhere like eBay...

set the game to run in a window, thats what i do.

That'd be a viable solution except for one bit. Is there anyway to get rid of the top bar that windows puts up (where it labels the application) for a windowed game? The rest of it looks fine but that top bar bugs the crap out of me.
