Hey i'm new to dual's and i have them set up now i have seen them where each montior has its own background how do you do this? I'm using vista and ati radeon card

Not too many are even running the beta release of Vista infortunately. With ATI model video cards you would configure multiple desktops with the Catalyst Control Center or simply expand the desktop. When you first open the Catalyst CC the display settings and configuration screen is right there. Once you have established two desktops you would create a theme or profile for each one where you can change the desktop appearance then with a plain color if not browsing for a bmp file other then those included with Windows.

unfortuinately i dont think i can install the cc on vista when i click on it it just sits there and doesnt install it at all

AH GEE? That's the problem with rushing into things before they are ready. I made that mistake with Internet Explorer 7.0 beta2! !!! I finally got rid of that nonsense after reinstalling "XP" which you may want to reconsider for the time being since the latest Catalyst 6.7 is readily available.

Well i got it to install but when i go to create profiles there is nothing there to select and it recognizes both monitors so i'm totally lost on this one i guess. Oh well both monitors works whats it matter if they have the same bg or not lol as long as i can use them like i am with 2 seperate screens thats the important thing.

Since VIsta is still only released as a beta while in development ATI and NVidia don't have anything available for this as well as basic drivers. To see results for what you want you may dual OS with two instead of one partition to XP for this and Vista for the tryout.
