Dual monitor Radeon 9200: how do I assign two different resolutions?

Video card is Sapphire 1024-HC25 Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR PCI.
It has a DVI and a VGA connectors. With both connected (to two monitors), how do I assign a different resolution to each one?

The ATI CATALYST Control Center lists the two monitors as "Main" and "Clone". When I set the resolution, both monitors adopt it. Is it possible to assign different resolutions? I do not see an option for doing this.

Many thanks.

I have now resolved the resolution problem. But there is a new problem. The primary monitor (LCD using DVI) is set at 1280 x 1024 and functions fine. The secondary monitor (using VGA) -- at any lesser resolution -- zooms in on the central part of the wallpaper, and shows no icons or anything else on the desktop. If I set its resolution at 1280 x 1024, the whole wallpaper shows, but still no icons or anything else, even when I change programs on the primary monitor. I need the exact same picture and text on both monitors, though at different resolutions. How can I solve this mess? If I need a new video card, I'll get one but I don't want to run into the same problem.
