dual monitors on 7600gt

i hooked up dual monitors, but on my second monitor it only shows the desktop wallpaper and not the start button or anything, it will show the mouse and stuff, but when i right click the desktop it flickers on the second monitor, what could be the problem?
 
you probably need to set up the dimensions of the screen for the second monitor.
also you might wanna look in the graphics card control panel and check the demensions options you have in there.
the best way to check if everything is fine is to set the second monitor as a clone of the first, this will give you a better idea of whats going on with regards to the options available
 
ok, so i tried cloning the primary monitor, and it now shows everything on the second monitor, but still, when i right click the screen it seems to reset itself and flicker. what can i try now?
 
could be set up for dual view, I have this when I connect my TV, try using spilt horizontally and see if you can find the startbar anywhere, if you can't its you'r screen settings that need to be changed:)
 
and if i hit the extend my windows display button to the second monitor all that shows up on the monitor is the wallpaper i have selected, and thats all. i can launch any program fine on the primary monitor but nothing shows up under the second monitor except for the wallpaper??????
