My video card has vga, dvi, and s-video outputs, one is being used (vga) and I want to use the dvi to hook up my other monitor. Well I need some type of vga to dvi adapter (the adapter would need both sides to be male) but how do I know which one i need, since there are dvi-i, dvi-d, etc, etc.

I cant just get a few, try them and return them either...no place it town sells them (Walmart [not suprised], radioshack, and opi (a small computer store)

Thanks

First off, yes you can do it, and you will need an adapter. If one didnt come with your video card, then you should be able to find them pretty cheap, and if your in the USA, you can get them from www.newegg.com for under $5.

Anyways, I believe all video cards that have DVI are pretty much DVI-D (should have a cross on one side).
