Dual monitors

Is anyone running dual monitors , and what is the purpose? Is the reason so you can visit two sites at the same time?
 
i will be running dual monitors soon!

i want to so i can spread my web pages about and so i can still have things showing on other screen while im gaming-msn, media player etc......

I'm running dual monitors. When i surf the web, I have FF open on the 22" and iTunes on the 17". I used to get FS2004 to work well with the second monitor (Air Scheffel panel), but I don't know how to do it anymore. It's still nice though!

A question related to the topic: Those of you who use two or more monitors, do you have any issues when playing games on the primary screen but with the other monitor(s) still hooked up? Cause I couldn't play games when I had two monitors, not even if I disabled the second monitor via software. The primary monitor would sort of blink all the time.
 
I have 2 8800GTX's. They are hooked up to them. I actually am not using the 2 20 inch LCD in the middle. I still have the 24 inch and the 20 inch dell. They are both 1200 pixels tall. I am driving the other monitors now on the EVGA USB video card due to SLI.
