Dual Monitors

Hi,

I have a Dell GX280 OptiPlex, and it is using onboard graphics INTEL 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset. I want to set up dual monitors, and in the desktop properties under settings it shows two monitors labled 1 & 2. Do I need to go with a seperate video card with dual VGA outs, or can I use the onboard with a VGA Y splitter to connect the two monitors?

Kewl I was hoping so, because in the properties, it shows the other monitor and the ability to extend the desktop to the other display, although it's not really there yet. I just wasn't sure if that chipset was capable of dual monitor support or not. Thanks!

@voyager, That only mirrors the monitors. If he wants to expand the monitor than he can get one of those eVGA UV+ things. It's a cheaper way than buying a video card.

Hey thanks! I'll definatelly check that out. I do have a pci-e slot open, so I may just go for a card as you say. :)
