dual monitors

i have an nvidia card and i've got 2 monitors connected to it. what i'd like is to be able to set programs to appear on a certain screen. like if i click on mozilla firefox i want the browser to always open on screen 2. that sort of thing. now what i noticed once on a previous setup, that after moving the browser over to the second screen it automatically started coming on that screen....umm. so, yeah. any help with this?

HI,
In my experience, which ever screen the program was located when it was last exited is where it appears the next time it is started. Other than that, I dont know of anyway to assign a specific screen to a program. However, this should work for you.

When you click the red X to close the window, hold shift when you click it. When you open that program again, it'll open where you closed it.

Mine does that without pressing shift. Wherever it was closed - that's where it opens back up.

Did you just answer your own question? Lol they should load on the same monitor that the program last existed on.
