Dual Monitors

I would like to use my TV as a second monitor from time to time. My current video card does not support dual monitors. I need help with a new video card that will allow this and be able to handle current versions of Autocad and Revit.

Computer: Dell XPS 8700
Current Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB D DR5
TV: Samsung LED

Current setup: One monitor.
Desired setup: Dual desk top monitors with the ability to switch one to the TV.

Also what would be a convenient way to switch from one monitor to TV?

What connectors does your GTX 750TI have in the back? It should more than easily support 2+ monitors

Thats what I thought as well but couldn't get it to work.
DVI-D Dual Link and DVI-I Dual Link.

You'll either need a dvi to hdmi converter assuming the tv has an open hdmi connection or dvi to vga converter. Most tv's have at least the vga connector.

Ive tried the DVI-I Dual Link port with a second monitor and my computer didn't detect it. The monitor has a VGA and DVI-I ports. Do have to use the the DVI-I port?

I think that depended on which brand you bought. Some came with dual DVI's and that was it.
