dual processors

I have heard of these people putting two processors on one motherboard?

And I'm not talking about dual core processors, 2 processors on one mobo.

Is this possible?

For the average person however, it is not very cost effective. But yes, it's very possible. Back when Socket A was all the rage, Tyan also made a dual socket mobo for AMD processors.

That is damn crazy dude...

Can you make gaming pcs out of server mobos?
You would need a PCI video card, as that motherboard doesn't have any PCI-Express/AGP slots.

The S939 Athlon 64 series (and possibly the S939 Opterons) don't have the internal architectural capability to support SMP by the method of multiple processors.
