:P I really never understood how this worked, if i put 2 videoc ards in my cmputer (a AGP and a PCI) the computer only worked on the AGP, if i put 2 PCI cards in my pc then it will boot off one of them only... I have a spare CRT and want to put it to work. can someone please tell me how to so dual monitors?:D :D

I wanna watch 2 movies at the same time :P

you just gotta go into your display properties, and turn on the additional displays

the boot screens will still only appear on the primary video adapter, tho

and i'm not sure how much success you'll have watching two movies at once, i guess you can try

you just need a card with dual display vga and just plug them in and set the dispaly settings to extend your desktop.

You can run dual monitor using one card (unless the card is absolutely ancient). You just plug both monitors into the card, then when you boot up, you have to go into display settings and enable the 2nd monitor. You can either set it to "clone" or "extended desktop".

I dont think two diffrent type of video cards will work at the same time. Your old video card might wasnt made for duel moniter. You need a video card that have two monitors output. Stick with 8MB AGP or upgrade new video card that have two duel moniter ports.

No, you can have 2 different types of card, if one's agp and one's PCI, at the same time. That's what I have.

As for the little ! sign, are you positive that the card is functional? Also, did you install the drivers for both cards? If none of the above works, you can always pick up like a 30 dollar video card that actually supports dual monitors.

Well I put in 3 PCI video cards... 2 s3s and 1 old PCI v card... well they all work, but i can only get a response from one of em... guess the vcards are too old.
