hey guys just wondering?
i have a gtx 560 ti directcu2 by asus, and it dosnt meet the requirements i need.
I was wondering that is it worth purchasing anouther and running dual sli?
and with that is it possible to dual sli with different makes of GPU's?
for example i bought a gtx 650, and tried to sli it with my gtx 560 ti?
would there be a confliction?

You can only SLI cards within the same series, so no, you can't do a 560 and a 650.

Two 560 Ti's in SLI are slightly better than a single 660 Ti, but if you get a single 660 Ti, you could always SLI that in future.

and im in Australia, the shipping on the newegg product combined with the price would cost much more then the product i bought

no no no. Anybody that tells you that has never built with an intel system. Some AMD processors are forward and backwards compatible (some AM3 boards will use FX processors. All AM3 processors work in AM3+ boards).
You have to match your Intel processor to the Intel socket that goes with it. LGA1156 will not go into 1155. Does not work backwards either. and I am 99.999% the key notches will not line up either, so you will damage the processor and board trying.

you'll also have to contact microsoft if you used an oem key, it is tied to the current mobo and cannot just be transfered, although i think you can use it to install but after a while the background on the desktop will become a reminder and windows will pop up telling you to get a key all the time, you can probs convince them to get you a new key.

really there isn't a need to upgrade, i'd just try to either return or sell that mobo

im installing a new operating system, basically building a whole new computer, hence the MOBO upgrade, i thought ( well was told) the my CPU was fine to fit in that motherboard (obviously not)
so i will end up purchasing a new CPU, upgrading now :)
would you be able to give some recomendations on a new CPU? that fits my motherboard :/

3570k is a boss, 2500k is almost same performance but you loose some mobo features, or for cheaps an i3-3220/2100 is still perfect for macing any game since they really more on gpu at high res, but an i5 is still smarter.

possibilty of a purchase link? for your recomendation?

you should have gotton the "k" version of that cpu. since your upgrading and all, it just would have given you more power when you need it later down the road through overclocking it. its stock at 3.5Ghz, but youcould get it to run at 4.6Ghz easily. but no matter, the i7 3770 is by far a very powerful cpu. great buy either way. im running one and its fantastic
