Dual video card for laptop trouble

Hi there. I have an Acer Aspire E 17 (E5-774G-503H) laptop, and it has two video cards that alternate. It uses an Intel HD video card for things like this to save battery, and uses the gtx 940m when running demanding games and such, switching automatically. It works well, except I really think that it uses the intel graphics when running steam's Age of Empires III. I think this because my desktop runs it at max settings getting 200fps (in signature for specs). However my laptop only gets decent enough frame rates at almost minimal settings, and 900p. So my question is, how do I get the game to run using the gtx 940m? Any ideas? Thanks.

You can control this behavior in the NVIDIA control panel and manually select which card each program uses. Generally it does a decent job of guessing whether or not you need the dedicated card, but on games such as Rust and others, I've had to force it on my laptop.
