dumb button

I have a laptop that has an external buttn on the casing to either enable or disable my wireless card. I can't turn it back on, I'll push it, but nothing happens. I've tried going through all sorts of ways to turn it on through Windows, but to no avail. Please help

Could be a bad button I guess Are the drivers showing up alright in Device Manager? Including keyboard drivers?

yes, and I can't use the wireless function....it's really annoying

Is there a wireless light when it's on? I assume if there is, it's not coming on?

You also didn't specify what laptop you had, but I've seen some where you can disable what the button controls in the bios.

When it's supposed to be working, there is a light on, but it's not coming on. It's a Presario R3000

I talked to HP online and they are worthless...any ideas?
