Dumb hard drive question...

I want to copy some files from my windows 7hdd to my ubuntu computer so is it ok just to plop the windows drive in the ubuntu machine and copy the stuff want? I wouldn't think it would hurt anything but I want to be positive.

Yeah, you can just stick it in as a slave drive.
