can any memory support dual channel mode, or is it special kind, or is it the mobo... currently have a a1350n hp with 1 gig, wanted to know if it had dual channel or not :>

It's the motherboard that must support it. Any pair of identical chips should work in duel channel as long as the mobo supports it. The first GOOGLE search I found showed an Athlon 4200, so yes, that system would support duel channel.
