Ok this is probably a dumb question but does windows XP home edition come with microsoft word and internet explorer? If not how do I get onto the internet once I install it

It doesnt come with Word but it does come with Internet Explorer

Yup. comes with IE, but no word, you need to get Microsoft Office for that(includes Excel and all that)

fyi, xp does come with microsoft WORKS, which is a word processor. i dont know how important it is for u to have WORD, but just a heads up.

If you need word, but cant buy Microsoft Office, there is a near identical piece of software by OpenOffice, who let you download it for free...

Oh no no no...Microsoft would dream of giving you Word. You''ll probably have to for out your life insurance to puchase Microsoft Office 2003. On a serious note: you can get word at almost all decent computer stores.

no it doesnt, only way to get microsoft works is if you either buy it seperatly, or you buy your comp from dell, hp, compaq, ect.
