Dumb Question

ok so i dont know very much about Video Cards, and i was wondering if this video card is good for games like Counter strike Source, BF2, COD4 maybe Crysis, World of warcraft?????

well i have already bought the item and hooked it up but i have been with out my computer for this whole summer and havent had a chance to even start up my new rig thats been in another state

SOO i been really curious on to what i can be able to play and what itll be like... lol
 
The Radeon HD 2600XT is comparable to a 8600 GTS.

All of those games should be ok with the exception of maybe Crysis.
 
if you're not going to drop the money on an HD 4870, then your next best bet is the HD 4850. i think i may be getting one of the two within the next few weeks.
 
it will deffently play crysis cos i could play crysis on my old 7300GS just it was on low - med settings @1024 x 768
 
Yeah I have the 8600GT except it's very overclocked (I just ordered a new card that's why my sig is different) I can play Crysis all Medium at 1024x768 and get like 35-40 fps. If I can turn it to full screen, all medium settings and 1440x900 but then I get down to like 15-20 fps. Great graphics, just unplayable.
 
Yeah, I was using the 8600gt (comparable card) for like a year and it will play crysis on medium. Or you can up some settings to high and leave some medium, maybe lower some other ones. I just put the water on low cause it takes a lot of power and i didn't see it too often and it didn't bother me a whole lot if it didn't look good.
 
The HD2600XT might not max out COD4, but definitely a mix of mediums and highs. I'd rather go with the 8600GTS
