I just built my first computer out of spare parts my dad had lying around. So far its:
Pentium 4 3.0ghz
512mb DDR RAM

I was just wanting to ask a few things:
- if i have like a duo 2Ghz processor, does that make it (2x2) 4ghz and so its better than the 3ghz?
- is 1gb DDR2 ram better than 2gb DDR or 1.5gb DDR2
thanks

You cannot use ddr2 memory in a ddr motherboard. Depends what the "duo core 2Ghz processor is", no they dont add up, but if its a Pentium dual-core(NOT talking about the older pentium D) or a core 2 duo, it is based off the newer core 2 technology and will be alot faster than a pentium 4. But lets say it was an older pentium D, it would depend on the clockspeed of the cpu.... Although if your running ddr memory..socket 775 was ddr2 if i remember right...so you would be running socket 478 perhaps?
