Duo shock question...

OK, I just got myself a PS2(no comments, please ) Anyway, I purchased a clear third party controler. It works really well(much better than cheapos I got for other systems!) However, there's one thing I noticed... When I play Grand Turismo 3(the only game I have right now) only one of the vibrators goes(left most one) Now I've used a duo shock before, but never a clear one, so it's hard to tell if this is 'normal' or if I just got a faulty controler...

So, could anyone clue me in? Does anyone else have a similar controller that they could see when the motors go?

I have a clear controller for my Xbox but it should be the same tech. Both motors should go off when you hit something. Either your controller has a screwed up motor or your disc is dirty and some of the data on disc is being read wrong(sometimes happens but not often).
