duplicating a hard drive

I currently have a desktop computer, it's an IBM Thinkcentre, but I want to upgrade the main hard drive, what program can I use to duplicate my hard drive, when I only have 2 drives avaliable? I know of programs that can do it through a USB cable, but not via the internal IDE connection.

Why not just backup your documents and settings, and then re-install windows on the new drive? I think that would be easiest.

Because I don't have a copy of Win XP where I am. I used to have an academic version provided by my school, but I no longer have the CD, which sort of makes it useless to do such.

What hard drive do you have now? And what are you adding? If there similar you should be able to use Norton Ghost.

As far as I know, I currently have a IBM 80GB 7200RPM ATA-100 EIDE hard disk drive and I'm looking to add a 200 gig or so SATA 150 drive, I haven't decided which one yet.
