Dust build up from front intake fan.

I noticed the other day when I removed the front cover of my new pc to get a cd burner installed that there was a lot of dust buildup where the fan is (the fan is inside the case, but when you remove the front cover there is a sort of grid of circles where the fan attaches to the case). Im worried all of that dust is being sucked right into my case as well. Is there a way to maybe filter some of the air through the intake? Or is it possible to put something over the fan intake that would still let air in but cut back on some of the dust?

You don't to buy a special filter for your fan. Many people have used Swifter Sweeper paper as a fan filter with great success. However, you have to keep changing it often since it will pick up dust really fast and if the Swifter paper is full of dust, your comp will basically out of air since the fan is totally blocked.

All you need to do to install it is cut it to match the size of your fan and that's it! You have a filter for your fan. :)

Oh yeah def, I cleaned it off and took the canned air to the inside to make sure nothing was floating around in there and I was amazed how much dust was floating around in there after only a week of use!
