So i read many forums and i heard a lot of people talk about dvds... but no really talks about which dvd brand is the best. So my Question is which one do you think works the best?

I heard a lot of people say that maxell is a really good brand for copieing ps2 games on to it. Is that true?

Also whats the difference between dvd brands...I still dont know what the difference is between no name brands... and brand name dvds. Is it quality... or what...the speed?

Thank you to all And plz post

honestly, brand and manufacturer was a much bigger isssue 10 years ago

disc quality is pretty uniform across the manufacturers, and recorders are a lot more advanced than they used to be, analyzing each disc, and adjusting burning speed, and laser intensity according to the quality of the media to get the best possible recording

i typically try and get name brands, never store brands, or no-name media, because i HAVE had some issues in the past, and some 16x media that could only be written at 8x or even only 6x, but even still, the finished product turned out just as compatible as anything else, it's just a speed issue.

right now i've got a spindle of TDK cd-r's that i got for $19 for 100 discs, and imation dvd-r's that were $29 for 100 discs at sam's club (and walmart, too, i think they're $5 or $6 more at walmart)

no reason to spend extra, if it's just for personal use.

if it's for work, and important backups, you can get medical grade discs with 50-100 year data life, but you'll pay out the nose for those.
