dvd burner enclousure

Yes, do you have USB V2 in your notebook ? why not just buy a dvd burner for your notebook ? Ummm the lite on, you may want to not get that.
You should have gotten the NEC weekend special, it was only $28. I would only consider getting. NEC, PIONEER, LaCIE, BENQ ( not the DQ60, rebranded cheap other manufacturer) LG or PLEXTOR.Get an enclosure like these

Any IDE to USB converter/enclosure would work...well, it obviously needs to be 5.25" so it'll actually fit inside it...

If you're laptop doesn't have USB 2.0, you can still use an enclosure, but you'll get very slow speeds(I think it's around 1x DVD and 6x CD...)
 
when you said " 1x dvd 6x CD" did you mean the writting speed or the reading speed? is there anyway to add USB 2.0 to my laptop cause i dont have it. can i buy a pcmcia slot that has US 2.0?
