DVD disc capacity

The single layer DVD discs have a stated video capacity of 120 min. If you create a video file that has no audio track or uses a low quality audiostream - like low bitrate MP3 - can you store more than 120 min on the disc. I`ve never created or burned a video to DVD but this seems to make sense.

Dont judge by lenght, different video compressions can make huge changes in file size so you could have 120 minutes of video but be over 4 GB in size in which case you wont be able to put the video onto the disk, also to add to this you can take a 120 min movie from a disk and convert it with avi/divix and reduce the size to about 700 mb and then you can fit about 7 of thoses movies onto one DVD. So work on file compression!

then again if you have Blu-Ray you can do just about whatever you want!
