Hey people!

Recently my DVD Drives have been blue screening on me everytime i try to put a disc in. So i done some googling and various pieces of advice sed to uninstall the drivers and then Vista will renistall them, but no it wont lol. I unplugged them from the motherboard, started the pc back up so the computer knows they've gone. then ive shut it down and plugged them back in.

on the start up it said it found new hardware then sed it couldn't install them. so naturally, they won't appear on 'my computer'. they are in the device manager saying that the drivers are missing. So I've searched all over the internet for them and they are no where to be found. anyone got any advice? I feel like a fool for not coming here first lol

Never mind i figured it out! :)

For those having the same problem I did just do this:

open up 'Run' and and type 'regedit' into the box.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class

Then, in the huge list there will be {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

click on that and in the side pain you should have a list of some registry commands. and in there will be Upperfilters and Lowerfilters. Delete them then restart your pc!

Im glad i sorted it, although now it's a bit late to play Fallout 3 now :(
