Hey,

I am trying to play a DVD in Windows Media Player but its all messed up. Its the same for all media players and different file types. I have installed different codexs and it still has the same problem.

Please help as I can't watch movies or any video!!

(Note: The DVD works fine on the DVD player attached to my TV)

Had to take a picture because the screenshot is just a black screen.

Thanks,

Do you think you could post a larger picture next time? :P

All video players basically use the same compressor, so whatever's loaded on your machine will be used for all players.

Is this a problem with a single DVD, or do all DVDs have the same result?

I did warn you about the image :P

Yeah, its all DVDs and videos (Apart from .mov files).

.mov's aren't DVDs... They're MPEG4's if I'm not mistaken ;)

It's probably your MPEG2 decoder, but I don't know of any good, free ones right off... if you could get a copy of PowerDVD or some other DVD software, you might correct this problem...
