DVD MovieFactory 4 and DivX conflict

I have Ulead DVD Moviefactory 4 and DivX on a system. Whenever I tried to import a certain DivX video into the initial screen, DivX keeps closing down and loading about thousands of times without my consent. On the system tray, I keep seeing the DivX Settings Manager icon appear and disappear more than a thousand times and in the end, the video doesn't load and MovieFactory stops responding.
Is there a way out?

Have you imported DivX before? According to the Ulead DVD Moviefactory 5 pdf (as html) , DivX is not supported so it's not supported in 4 either.

What can I do if DivX is not supported? But my other computer allows the video to be imported and the DivX icon only appears ONCE. Why is that?

I went back and downloaded the actual pdfs. Here are the supported video formats from the features pdf.

If you can import DivX into Moviefactory 4 on another pc I have no clue other than the other file is not DivX (mpeg4). Anyone?
