dvd+r not working

this is sort of related to my previous post. the dvd i am trying to burn is one of the disks for season 1 of 24. each disk contains 4 episodes. originally i was trying to burn the whole disk onto a dvd+r dl but apparently my drive doesnt support them. so i was using dvdshrink to fit the disk onto a normal dvd+r when i realized i could just put two episodes on each disk and not need to compress. i set it up and put in a dvd+r but when i started the burn it gave me this error:
dumbdvdshrink3yt.jpg

why would it ask for a dvd+r and then complain about a dvd+r being in the drive?
i canceled the burn and it saved the dvd video files which i then tried to burn with nero. i got this error:
dumbnero2uz.jpg

same thing. why is it not accepting the media it's asking for? what am i doing wrong?

first thing your doing wrong is trying to copy copyrighted material and im fairly sure this thread wont last too long im afraid

even if it is owned, you technically can't make copies of it...

which is also being made illegal too i believe, I know CD's have been and fairly sure it encompasses DVD too.

Its not a case of not wanting to necessarily help you and we are not passing judgement, its more a case of for a forum such as this to remain open it needs to be legal so as not to incur the wrath of some of the larger organisations
