DVD Ripping Software

I am looking for a professional grade software that will rip dvds (for free). I am just wanting to rip individual music videos of of my music dvds, so i don't necessarily need to rip the entire dvd. right now I am using dvd fab 5 to rip the videos, then any video converter to convert to the formats I want, and the quality of the videos aren't bad by any means, but I know they could be better. does anyone have any suggestions for me? thanks.

Nero doesn't do those things.
I don't know which program can do this, as most program i know, rips the whole audio in a movie.
Then it's up to you to trim from specific point

It is not for backup purposes, I am just wanting to rip some music videos off of my dvds so I can watch videos on my computer in almost dvd quality.

Try using staxrip or automkv , they will yield better quality.

If they are too complicated have a look at autoGK


Also look at X264

DVDShrink can extract part of DVD without encoding. And it is free.
If you need to convert this files to avi or mkv I can recommend MediaCoder, it is very powerful and freeware tool.
