dvd rom accidently incapacitated!

Hi, I'am new to this forum but I hope maybe some one can help me. late one night recently I uninstalled all the software for my dvd rom/drive and my cd rewriter. I thought I was installing roxio easy cd creator but wasn't apparently. Anyways firmware downloads have not helped and the only sign of my drives is in task manager with the yellow exclemation marks etc. I wonder is there anything I can do from the BIOS to get some response out of my two very dead drives. I have all the relevant software of course on cd! Oh yeah my work is backing up big time. Tks. [email protected]
 
hi, if you go to the maufacturers website, you should be able to download the latest firmware, along with the programs to update to the drives, can we have the make/model of the drive to have a look round for you...??
