DVD+/-RW + Nero

I burned several large video files to a DVD-RW in data form via Nero 7 in my external DVD+\-RW DL burner. Then, a little later, I went back into Nero and opend the dvd (in burner) and deleted a few movies in the compilation to free some space for other stuff, burned the dvd (essentially just deleted the files) then when it was finished I opend it up in the drive in My Computer. It showed that the movies I had selected for deletion were gone and the total size had been reduced. But when I opend the compilation in Nero to add some other things it showed the files were gone but still with the same amount of space on the disc. It got rid of the files but didnt free up any gigabytes!! Im wondering what I have to do in Nero to fix this because the movies are obviously physically gone. thanx

Well i dont know if its different for nero7, but you dont just "delete" the files, you have to actually format the dvdrw. Click the recorder menu up top > erase rewritable disc

well yea nero 7 cant be that different. but u should be able to delete select files off a RW without rematting the whole thing. I want to keep some of the files on the disc just not all of them.

you can't just select and delete because the placement of the information on the disc. When it burns it burns from the center out so you can't just go through and fill in those areas.

Sorry you have to format the disk and re-insert the stuff you want on the disk
