If I have a DVD from the rental shop of equal size, there is no need for reduction. How do i copy it to a blank disc? What I have been doing is encoding, whatever that means, the rented disc and then burning it, is that all you need to do? Do i need to decrypt using DVD decrypter? Do I need to do an analysis of the data.. Not sure what I am doing with this software..

And how do you do the more complicated task of reducing a bigger size disc to a smaller DVD disc?

It is not legal to copy a rental dvd. If you own the dvd, you can copy it for backup purposes (in some countrys) only.

The_Other_One, why didn't you close this thread?

Where I live theres a guy that brings a crater thing and sets it outside a subway station every day and sells hundereds of copies; PC, xbox, ps2 games, DVDs, music, programs, OSs, anything you can think of for 4 euros each, he's been there for the last 5-6 years (that I know of) I actually saw him once bribing a couple of young cops with free CDs...
