DVDs With Viruses?

Hi there,
I've recently found out that my computer is infected with some viruses. I have a lot of tv shows and movies etc. on this computer which I plan to burn onto DVDs before I reformat my computer. So my question is: is it possible to infect these DVDs with viruses when I burn all this stuff onto it and reinfect my computer when I reformat it?

Thanks in advance!
Ryan

Welcome to the forums,
first off scan those files to see if they are infected ,then clean them, then burn.

am not too sure, but many people said it's possible to burn an infected file and when restored on another pc the spreading begins, has not happen to me so i can't give a definate answer

I believe it should be fine for me to simply assure you that there is pretty much no chance of a virus be transfered if you're only burning video files, however further discussion of pirated content is against the Forum Rules.

y not remove the viruses first and then burning those dvd's? u cud just run a thorough virus scan with any anti-virus frm the safe mode.
after uve removed *most* of the viruses , burn ur dvd...
i dont think tht they'll make a copy of themselves in ur dvd
