dvd's wont play !!!!!!!!

i have just recently burnt some vidoes onto a dvd they where an avi format and when i go to play them on a dvd player it says that there is nothing on the disc. but when i play them on a computer it finds all the videos fine. is this beacuse the format of the video files are rong should i try converting them ? any help would be greatly appresiated thanks luke

Most DVD players wont read AVI. burn them to VCD. most newer dvd players will read VCD

i think you might have to install Divx to play avi files

You need toi burn them as dvd video rather then dvd data. There are numerous programs that will do this, for example nero vision express

yeah, most likely what you did.

did you just burn them as video1.avi, video2.avi.. etc.. as datas?
or actual dvd movie discs?
