DVI and VGA...

What's the different between the DVI and VGA I can't recognize the difference.

One's digital output and the other is analogue from the graphics card. LCD monitors are supposedly better with a DVI input but personally on my monitor I would be hard pushed to tell the difference.

DVI is usually white, while VGA is usually blue. DVI also has more pins and has either a "-" or a "+" on the side.

EDIT: Wait, do you mean the difference between the connectors or the difference of what it looks like on a display?

I use analogue on my LCDs because there is absolutely no difference with digital to analogue on my screen resolutions, also, it would have meant getting a second DVI cable when I already have an analogue.

Personally, if you are using 1680x1050 and below, Analogue would be perfectly fine, but resolutions such as 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 may look better on DVI.

Also keep in mind that with DVI you are getting a pixel-per-pixel digital representation of the data on your LCD screen (which is also a digital display by nature). While many LCD displays have gotten better at displaying an analog VGA signal, the display has to align the scan lines to the appropriate area on the monitor. (Have you noticed how the LCD screen has to "auto adjust" for a change in resolution when connected via VGA cables?) This can still result in slightly incorrect colors or blurriness if the monitor is off.

Many people will not notice the difference between a DVI connection and a VGA connection if the monitor is configured properly. Still, I would always recommend DVI over VGA if your graphics card and monitor support it. (Personal pref :))
