DVI cable

i have a DVI connection on my graphics card and also on my monitor. will i see much of a difference if i use a cable like this instead of my standard monitor cable. i use After Affects and Photoshop and wonder if there will be a greater difference. also is it a better picture when gaming?

It depends on the monitor, what size and resolution is it? If it's a standard desktop sized monitor with not too high of a resolution, I would say there wouldnt be much difference.

the resolution is 1152 by 864 and it changes also when i use after affects i make everything smaller as the screen gets bigger. reckon it will make a difference. i have a 19" dell, and its cool!
