I had made a post about a week ago asking if someone could confirm that the HDMI and DVI outputs would not work at the same time. It turns out that it is true. So I am thinking about using DVI for my monitor and VGA for the tv. The monitor has DVI and VGA while the tv has HDMI and VGA. does that would like the best setup?

Wait, I have the exact same setup and it's working. I have DVI going to my monitor and an HDMI converter on the other output going to my TV. I noticed 2 things when setting it up.
1) Make sure the TV is on, and set to the correct input, when you boot up the computer.
2) If it's a 720p monitor, be sure to set it to 720p in the NVidia Control Panel, or CCC. My monitor had a default setting at 1080p, even though it's a 720p TV, so nothing showed up when I enabled dual monitors. I changed it to 720p with a 1680x1050 res and now everything works fine.
