DVI to VGA Big Problem, on my new £700 PC.

Hey, just like to say hi, as this is my first post!

Right, so i bought this new computer with a 9800GT (2 x DVI ports) so i used one of the DVI to VGA converters to attatch my VGA monitor, and the picture is so fuzzy and flickering you can barely tell whats supposed to be displayed.

Any ideas??

Are you still able to see what you are doing? Because it could possibly be because your resolution is set too high.

Barely, you know whats on the screen but cant see details etc.

Do you have an LCD or CRT monitor? I doubt it would just be vista, it sounds like a hardware issue somewhere down the line.

Are you using the DVI port on the left of your graphics card?

Also, could be a faulty card, you got any others you could try?
