DVI to VGA converters

Hi, I've got a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop, and at the back I have a VGA and a DVI port. I've allready got a second monitor plugged into the VGA, but is it possible to get a VGA to DVI converter, and plug in a third monitor through the other port? It would be an old CRT monitor, rather than a plasma or something. Would this work?
Cheers

Of course! I'm suprised it didn't come with some converter... My previous video cards all came with DVI to VGA converters.

Well, this is assuming you can use 3 monitors... I don't know if that works, but I do know you can use CRT monitors though a DVI connection.

Another problem: My graphics card only has a DVI-D output, and the connector I have is DVI-I. This means it doesn't fit in due to the 4 extra pins around the longer horizontal pin. Would it be possible to cut off these extra pins so it fitted in my computer? Would the two DVI connectors the same other than these extra pins? Its going to convert from DVI to VGA, so I'm guessing these extra channels arn't needed anyway?
Cheers
