DVR 104 won't burn

Here's the story. It recognises movies and cd's. It will burn cds but when i go to copy something on to a blank dvd, the drive won't recognise the dvd. It says insert a recordable media. This is driving me nuts... Does anybody have any advice???

It is a pioneer, but I'm not sure if it is a six in one.. I know it's old...

Does it support DVD media. You say it's old, so it may not do DVD's.

If you are using nero, or similar, you have to state what type of disc it is you wish to write. Check your programs options.
