dwm Keeps crashing

i currently have windows 7 ultimate 64bit installed on my computer. the problem i am having is that everytime my cpu (old intel p4) starts working heavily the dwm.exe crashes. I cant even watch a movie on netflix or it crashes. It also happens when i play cod4 or use PS cs4.

I think its some how linked to the video card drivers (8800gt) because it only started to crash after i updated my drivers. I have already updated my video card with newer drivers and have already reformated my computer but the problem persists.

I googled this and it seems im not the only one with this problem. I was not able to find a solution to my problem and am getting very annoyed because this sucks.

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
 
roll back to the drivers that didn't cause this issue. notify nvidia of the problem and the might fix it in their next driver release.
 
i already reformated my harddrive and it installed the latest one automaticaly. is there a way to down-grade the drivers?
 
i finaly fixed it (i think). I used the advanced search on nvidias site and it gave me a list of all the drivers that came out before.

It seems to be working cause i ran a bunch of internet windows, photohsop, bridge, and premeire and it didnt crash. It got to the point where the mouse was moving slow.
(need some more ram and a new cpu)
