I've bought a PC off eBay, it's not arrived yet and won't for another week;

I went onto game-debate and saw the system requirements and I had 10/10 and 9/10 meaning I could run the game on ultra settings, everything was more than high enough, but it I needed DX9, I believe that's DirectX or something but how do I know what the computer has before it comes? :S And if it's not high enough is their any way too change it? Thanks.
PS: I'm using Windows 7.
