DX9 or 10

I am kind of confused on this subject. Is it still to early to be getting a dx10 card, and if I get DX10 card can I run DX9 games?
 
There aren't many Dx10 games out so wait till the games you want are released. Prices will fall, new tech will be released, More money can be accrued, so on.
 
Only DX10 cards will be introduced from now on, so you dont really have much choice. I would say it's not necessary yet, since the DX10 games that are our arent a whole lot better then their DX9 counterparts.
 
but 8 series cards generally have better graphics than other cards even using dx9 right ?

There are times when the DX10 cards get beat in DX9 games with DX9 cards but that is usually with the lower end DX10 videcards and the 8800GTS320MB.

The 8800 and 2900 series outperform all the DX9 single GPU series video cards.
