I have an Shuttle ST61G4 which I will use as a home media center solution using XP + MediaPortal II or Vista + MS Media Center. The requirements are:
1) At least DirectX 9c (MediaPortal)
2) At least 128MBytes (MediaPortal)
3) AGP interface (There is no PCI-E slot)
4) 1 slot design (it's tight in the ST61G4)
5) Should be quiet (it's in the living room and on 24/7)
6) The card is almost against the cover so the board should run cool.
There is only a 250W PSU in the ST61G4 which I don't want to replace. The CPU is a P4 2.8Ghz. There is one 250GB HD and a DVD ROM drive. Otherwise there are no other components. I won't be playing games.
I was thinking of an ATI X1300 but I'm not sure if this is a good choice. Somebody claimed it only uses 40W which would be great but is this correct?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.
