Dynamat = quiet case :)

Today for some unknown reason I got an idea to Dynamat my computer case. I had a sheet of dynamat extreme in my car. I've used Dynamat before but only in Sound Quality cars. Me and my friend have SQ cars and both of them are covered with dynamat to stop the vibrations and resonance. It really helps in the cars (made it much quiter inside). Today I used a whole sheet of dynamat in my case and it made it much quieter. So for all of you who have really noisy cases, just stop by CarAudio shop and pick up a Dynamat Extreme speaker kit which will be around $14.99 but will change ur world for ever.
PS: After finishing up I went on their website and found out that they actually make PC case kits. But they sell the same damn thing for PC cases as for cars. So I think it will be chaper to just get a Dynamat door kit.

how thick is the sheet?
what insulates noise will also insulate heat, have you checked system temps since it was installed?

it will not isulate heat, the temp's went up by 1 degree, but its worth it. The sheet is about 5mm (asphalt + glue are the compounds of the sticky stuff) and prolly 1mm-3mm aluminum foil. The thing with Dynamat it just add's weight to the metal pannel and makes it hard to resonate/vibrate because its heavier.
