Well not all P4s, only the ones on socket 478 with a Presscott core. If you are not OCing, then the stock cooling should be OK. After you get it, just see what the temps are, and then at that point, consider a different cooler if necessary.I think I have done enough reading to know that the p4 upgrade gets hot. What is a good recommendation to keep it cool enough to run smooth under heavy use?

Oh wait...you have an emachines, no mobo manual. Well look in your emachines manual and see if it says anything. If not, then any s478 P4 should work.
