I used to use Windows Live Mail for my emails.

Since I left talk talk and moved to btinternet I use BTMail from my Firefox browser.

However sometimes I have to send a file by email and my computer takes me to Windows Live Mail,

How can I stop this from happening ?

Likely an association with mailto: and your PC specifying Windows live mail as the default application

Either change file association or access mail and just attach file.
